Our Team

Benjamin Giertych, MD

Dr. Giertych is an orthopedic surgeon with additional specialty training in the management of the hand and upper extremity.  He provides both nonsurgical and surgical management of new injuries and existing conditions of the fingers, hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Dr. Giertych's approach combines personalized patient choice, evidence-based treatment, and advanced surgical techniques when appropriate to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Dr. Giertych offers patients both traditional anesthesia and wide awake procedures under local anesthesia for certain hand conditions. He performs both endoscopic and traditional carpal tunnel release as part of his practice. When performing shoulder replacements, Dr. Giertych utilizes 3D CT planning to select the most appropriate implant and optimal positioning for each patient. Whether treating a common condition, a traumatic injury, or a complex upper extremity problem, Dr. Giertych's goal is to provide clear guidance and develop an individualized treatment plan focused on achieving the best possible outcome for each patient.
